AN OLIVE GROVE THAT REACHES THE SEA
Olive cultivation is one of the excellences of Italian agriculture. The olive grove is a millennial crop that has been handed down over time, making Italy the world’s leading olive producer in terms of quality.
This tree is perfect for cultivation and has withstood the intensification processes that have characterised modern agriculture in recent decades. Obviously, today’s techniques are more advanced and refined than in the past, but we are still firmly rooted in rural tradition.
Staying at the Governor’s Oasis, you can admire and walk among the olive trees on a large 67-hectare property that reaches down to the sea.
A pine forest and a palm grove of 650 palms
All along the coast, in a strip preceding the beach, is a beautiful pine forest of maritime pines, eucalyptus and cypresses. The area is of naturalistic interest because it is where turtle eggs are laid. The pine forest also provides a natural protective barrier on windy days. A stretch of pine forest is replaced by experimental planting of palm trees, creating a very attractive environment.
