THE GOVERNOR’S OASIS
The Governor’s Oasis is a protected facility, an oasis of peace surrounded by 67 hectares of centuries-old olive grove bordering the sea, comprising six holiday flats converted from a country house. One flat has a sea view terrace, the others open onto the beautiful garden with swimming pool, where sun loungers, showers, children’s play area, relaxing gazebo, barbecue, wood oven and laundry facilities are all free of charge.
A nine-hundred-metre path, entirely within the estate and immersed in nature, which can be followed on foot, by bicycle or by car, crosses the olive grove and pine forest and connects the farmhouse to a long beach of golden sand, which cannot be reached from other roads and is therefore frequented almost exclusively by Oasis guests. Parasols and deck chairs are available here.
The very cozy apartments are equipped with every comfort: free wifi, television, air conditioning, two bathrooms, fully equipped kitchen, and garden veranda where you can eat or rest outdoors.
The Oasis is open in March, April, May, June, July, August, September, October, and November. The months of March, April, May, October and November are dedicated to hosting yoga groups.
How can you reach us?
By car from the north
A3 Salerno-Reggio Calabria motorway, Lamezia Terme exit.
Take the motorway towards Catanzaro. After 26 km, turn right at the fork towards Soverato, Reggio Calabria. Exit at Squillace and take towards Squillace Lido. At Squillace Lido take the SS 106 towards Catanzaro, after a couple of kilometres, at the 180 km sign, just after the Carrefour shopping centre, in front of the Ready warehouse, on the right, enter the large green gate, among the vast area of olive trees.
By train
Intercity and Eurostar trains to Lamezia Terme, or a direct Rome-Reggio Calabria train to Catanzaro Lido.
A bus service connects Catanzaro Lido to Squillace Lido (Autolinee Federico) Our shuttle service to and from the station can be arranged if necessary. Many car rentals and taxi services are also available in Lamezia Terme and Catanzaro Lido.
